Sofangel was founded in the heart of Basilicata a few kilometres from the City of Stones, as well as the 2019 European Capital of Culture, Matera, the hub of the well-known industrial district of upholstered furniture.

 During its first years of activity, the company collaborated with leading companies in the sector as an official partner. In 2010, the SOFANGEL brand was born, developing its own collection of sofas for the Italian market.

 Subsequently, the distribution was extended to all markets.

 Today, the company continues to produce 100% in Italy, maintaining a very strong link with its territory. Sofangel has now reached coverage of all the main national and international markets, through an extensive and widespread commercial network, always setting itself new challenges and goals, and continuing to look to the future with confidence and optimism.
